Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets about 1 large head of broccoli
  • 1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled about 6 strips
  • ½ cup raisins
  • ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup red onion, finely chopped
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cook the bacon in a frying pan over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the pan, let it cool, and crumble it into small pieces.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the broccoli florets, crumbled bacon, raisins, shredded cheddar cheese, and finely chopped red onion. Mix well to combine the ingredients.
  • In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper until smooth and well combined.
  • Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and toss until all the ingredients are evenly coated.
  • Refrigerate the salad for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. This step is optional but recommended.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to add nuts like sunflower seeds or chopped walnuts for extra crunch.
You can substitute Greek yogurt for mayonnaise for a lighter version of the dressing.
This salad can be made a day in advance for more enhanced flavors.
