1 baking dish (9x13 inches)
1 mixing bowl
1 whisk
1 measuring cups and spoons
1 meat thermometer (optional)
- 4 pieces chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on) About 1.5 lbs.
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup minced garlic About 8-10 cloves.
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley For garnish.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, black pepper, salt, and paprika until well combined.
Place the chicken thighs in the baking dish, skin side up, and pour the garlic brown sugar mixture over them, making sure they are well coated.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C) and the skin is nicely caramelized.
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Serve this dish with steamed vegetables or a fresh salad to balance the sweetness of the chicken. If you prefer a spicier flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
