- 4 fillets salmon 5-6 ounces each.
- 4 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons honey Can substitute maple syrup for a different flavor.
- 2 tablespoons olive oil Also used to grease the baking dish.
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- as desired fresh dill or parsley For garnish (optional).
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a baking dish lightly with olive oil.
In a small mixing bowl, combine the Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
Place the salmon fillets in the prepared baking dish, skin-side down.
Use a pastry brush or spoon to evenly spread the Dijon mixture over the top of each salmon fillet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Once cooked, remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes.
Garnish with fresh dill or parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.
You can substitute maple syrup for honey for a different flavor profile. For added depth, consider sprinkling some garlic powder or red pepper flakes into the Dijon mixture. Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
