Ingredients
  

  • 4 fillets salmon About 6 ounces each.
  • ¼ cup brown sugar Packed.
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced.
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger Or 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated.
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • as needed lemon wedges For serving.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper if desired for easier cleanup.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, ground ginger, salt, and pepper until well combined to form a glaze.
  • Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin side down. Brush the glaze generously over the top of each fillet.
  • Allow the salmon to marinate for about 5 minutes for more intense flavor, if desired.
  • Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the glaze is caramelized.
  • Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

You can also grill the salmon using the same glaze for a smoky flavor.
Adjust the amount of brown sugar and soy sauce according to your sweetness preference.
For extra flavor, consider adding sesame seeds or chopped green onions as a garnish before serving.
