Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 whisk
  • 1 measuring cups
  • 1 measuring spoons
  • 1 Ziploc bag or shallow dish for marinating
  • 1 grill or oven

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey Adjust based on your preference for sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound chicken breasts About 4 pieces.

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, oregano, black pepper, and salt. Whisk the ingredients together until they are well combined.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a Ziploc bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring that it is evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish.
  • Refrigerate the chicken for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to infuse.
  • Preheat your grill or oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting any excess marinade drip off. Discard the marinade.
  • If using a grill, cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side until fully cooked, with an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). If using an oven, place the chicken on a baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes or until cooked through.
  • Once cooked, remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
  • For extra flavor, consider adding fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme to the marinade.
