Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • ½ cup dried cranberries chopped
  • ½ cup pecans finely chopped
  • ¼ cup green onions finely sliced
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Extra as needed chopped pecans for coating (if desired)

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well blended and creamy.
  • Add the chopped dried cranberries, chopped pecans, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to the cheese mixture. Stir until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  • Place a piece of plastic wrap on a flat surface and spoon the cheese mixture onto the wrap. Using the wrap, form the mixture into a ball shape.
  • Wrap the cheese ball tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.
  • If you want to coat the cheese ball, remove it from the plastic wrap and roll it in extra chopped pecans until evenly coated.
  • Place the cheese ball on a serving platter and serve with crackers, fruits, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

For a sweeter twist, you can mix in a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup.
Feel free to substitute the pecans with walnuts or almonds if preferred.
This cheese ball can be made a day in advance for convenience.
