Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts about 1.5 pounds
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (1 oz)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup shredded cheese cheddar or mozzarella
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • for garnish fresh parsley

Instructions
 

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the ranch seasoning mix and stir into the remaining oil and juices from cooking the chicken.
  • Gradually pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth while stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, and spoon some of the sauce over the chicken. Allow it to simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Before serving, sprinkle the shredded cheese over the chicken and cover the skillet for a minute or two until the cheese is melted.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

This dish pairs well with rice, mashed potatoes, or a side salad.
You can easily customize the ranch flavor by adding your favorite herbs or spices.
If you prefer a lighter version, consider using half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
