  • 150 g Dried dates pitted, e.g. Medjool
  • 200 g Cream cheese
  • 200 g Sour cream or Schmand style
  • 1 tablespoon Curry powder
  • 1 Garlic clove optional
  • 1 pinch Ground cumin optional
  • 1 pinch Cinnamon optional
  • 1 pinch Salt, pepper, paprika powder to taste

  • Chop the dates roughly. Soak them in warm water for 5 minutes if they're tough.
  • In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, curry powder and the chopped dates.
  • Add chopped or pressed garlic if desired.
  • Sprinkle in cumin, cinnamon, salt, pepper, and paprika to taste.
  • Use a stick blender or regular blender to puree everything until smooth and creamy.
  • Serve immediately or chill before serving. Optional: garnish as desired.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze and thaw before use. Stir before serving.
