- 2 cans sliced peaches in syrup 15 oz each, drained
- 1 can cherry pie filling 21 oz
- 1 box yellow or white cake mix 15.25 oz
- ½ cup unsalted butter melted, 1 stick
- 1 cup shredded coconut optional
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts optional
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon optional
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In the greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spread the drained peaches evenly across the bottom.
Pour the cherry pie filling over the peaches, spreading it evenly.
In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow or white cake mix and ground cinnamon (if using). Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the fruit layers in the baking dish.
Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the cake mix layer, covering as much as possible.
If using, sprinkle shredded coconut and chopped nuts evenly over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
Let cool slightly before serving.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra special treat. You can substitute the fruits based on your preference, using fruits like pineapple or mixed berries. This cake is great for making ahead; simply reheat in the oven before serving.
