Ingredients
  

  • 8 slices bread White or whole grain.
  • 4 slices Swiss or mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices ham
  • 1 cup canned pineapple chunks Drained.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Optional.
  • Salt To taste.
  • Pepper To taste.

Instructions
 

  • Begin by heating a frying pan or skillet over medium heat.
  • If desired, sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the ham slices.
  • Take 4 slices of bread and butter one side of each slice with 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter.
  • Place the buttered side down in the hot pan and layer each slice with one piece of cheese, followed by a slice of ham, some pineapple chunks, and another slice of cheese.
  • Top each sandwich with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
  • Cook the sandwiches for about 3-4 minutes or until they are golden brown.
  • Carefully flip each sandwich with a spatula and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove the sandwiches from the pan and let them rest for a minute before slicing.

Notes

You can add additional toppings like jalapeños or bell peppers if you want some extra flavor.
For a crispier sandwich, you can cook on lower heat for a longer time to ensure the cheese melts thoroughly while getting a nice crust on the bread.
