Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.
Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking tray.
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through and golden brown.
While the meatballs are baking, prepare the honey garlic sauce. In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, cornstarch, and water.
Whisk the mixture over medium heat until it starts to thicken, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat once thickened.
Once the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven and drizzle the honey garlic sauce over them, making sure they are well coated.
Return the meatballs to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to slightly caramelize the sauce.
Serve warm, garnished with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.
