  • 1 small saucepan
  • 1 whisk

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef Approximately 450 grams.
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs About 50 grams.
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese Approximately 25 grams.
  • 1 piece egg
  • 3 cloves garlic Minced.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil About 15 ml.
  • ½ cup honey About 170 grams.
  • ¼ cup soy sauce Approximately 60 ml.
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced.
  • 1 teaspoon ginger Grated.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch About 8 grams.
  • 2 tablespoons water About 30 ml.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.
  • Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking tray.
  • Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through and golden brown.
  • While the meatballs are baking, prepare the honey garlic sauce. In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, cornstarch, and water.
  • Whisk the mixture over medium heat until it starts to thicken, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat once thickened.
  • Once the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven and drizzle the honey garlic sauce over them, making sure they are well coated.
  • Return the meatballs to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to slightly caramelize the sauce.
  • Serve warm, garnished with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.

Notes
