Equipment

  • 1 large skillet or frying pan
  • 1 measuring spoons
  • 1 whisk
  • 1 spatula
  • 1 plate for serving

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets Each fillet is approximately 6 oz.
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste seasoning salt
  • to taste seasoning black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.
  • as needed pieces lemon wedges For serving.

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and a pinch of salt and black pepper until combined. Set this sauce aside.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin side down.
  • Cook the salmon for about 4-5 minutes without moving it, allowing the skin to crisp up.
  • Reduce the heat to medium and flip the salmon over gently. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the salmon fillets.
  • Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, spooning the sauce over the salmon occasionally until it flakes easily with a fork and gets a nice caramelized glaze.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and let the salmon rest for a minute.
  • Serve the salmon garnished with chopped parsley and lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the salmon fillets in the sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
You can substitute the salmon with another type of fish if desired, adjusting cooking times as necessary.
This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
