Equipment

  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 baking sheet
  • 1 parchment paper (optional)
  • 1 skillet
  • 1 meat thermometer (optional)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs Or 1 tablespoon fresh herbs.
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup if desired.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, grated parmesan cheese, heavy cream, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, dried herbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
  • Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they're spaced apart.
  • Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they're cooked through and have an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  • While the meatballs are baking, melt the unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
  • Once the meatballs are done, transfer them to the skillet with the garlic butter. Toss to coat the meatballs evenly in the sauce.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.

Notes

You can substitute ground turkey or chicken if you prefer.
For extra flavor, you can add crushed red pepper flakes to the garlic butter for a kick.
These meatballs can be made ahead of time and frozen for easy meal prep. Just reheat in the oven or skillet when ready to serve.
