Ingredients
  

  • 14 oz pasta Fettuccine or penne.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts About 1.5 lbs total.

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can be substituted with half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste red pepper flakes Optional for spice.
  • for garnish fresh basil For an aromatic finish.

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and let it rest on a plate.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then, add the chopped sun-dried tomatoes and cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes, letting it thicken slightly.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Mix until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
  • Slice the rested chicken and add it back into the skillet with the sauce. Toss in the cooked pasta and mix everything together gently until the pasta is coated in the sauce.
  • Garnish with fresh basil for an aromatic finish. Divide into serving dishes and enjoy your Marry Me Chicken Pasta!

Notes

You can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
If you prefer a bit of spice, consider adding red pepper flakes to the sauce.
