Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 baking dish (9x13 inches)
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 spoon or spatula for mixing
  • 1 cooking brush (optional)

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts About 1.5 pounds.
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs e.g., basil, oregano, thyme.
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • as needed pieces chopped fresh parsley For garnish (optional).

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian herbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well blended.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish. If they are thick, you may want to pound them to an even thickness for more uniform cooking.
  • Evenly spread the mayo-Parmesan mixture over the top of each chicken breast, ensuring they are thoroughly covered.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the top is golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Optional: garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
  • For a crispy topping, you can broil the chicken for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end of cooking, but keep an eye on it to avoid burning.
  • Serve with a side of vegetables, rice, or a salad for a complete meal.
