Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts About 1.5 lbs total.
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, diced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Optional.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well to form a marinade.
  • Coat the chicken breasts in the marinade, ensuring they are evenly covered. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes.
  • Place the marinated chicken breasts into a baking dish.
  • In the same mixing bowl, combine the barbecue sauce and diced pineapple. Stir until mixed.
  • Pour the pineapple barbecue mixture over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are well coated.
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  • After 20 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C).
  • Once done, remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can grill the marinated chicken for a few minutes before baking.
Serve with rice or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
You can adjust the level of sweetness in the sauce by using more or less pineapple.
