  • 1 sheet Puff pastry thawed
  • 4 slices Ham
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 Egg beaten
  • Parmesan cheese for sprinkling, optional
  • Flour for dusting
  • 1 pinch Black pepper
  • Fresh thyme leaves optional
  • Parchment paper for baking

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Lightly roll out puff pastry on a floured surface, then cut into 4 equal rectangles.
  • Spread Dijon mustard on each rectangle.
  • Place one slice of ham and one slice of Swiss cheese on half of each rectangle.
  • Fold over the other half of the pastry and seal edges with a fork.
  • Brush tops with beaten egg for golden color.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for 2 months. Reheat in the oven to keep them crispy.
