Ingredients
  

  • 1 package instant pudding mix (vanilla or chocolate) 3.4 oz package.
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 container Cool Whip (thawed) 8 oz container.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Optional.
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar Optional, for added sweetness.

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the instant pudding mix and cold milk. Whisk together until the mixture begins to thicken, about 2 minutes.
  • If using, add the vanilla extract and the powdered sugar to the pudding mixture and stir until well incorporated.
  • Gently fold in the thawed Cool Whip with a rubber spatula. Be careful not to deflate the whipped topping; mix until just combined and smooth.
  • Once the ingredients are fully blended, your Pudding Cool Whip Frosting is ready to be used! Spread it on cooled cakes, pies, or serve in dessert cups.
  • Store any leftover frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
